Cancellation policy
Below is the Cosmoplolitan Student Homes cancellation policy. --- All requests to cancel a contract must be put in writing and handed into the relevant Student Accommodation Team, for the attention of the Property Manager. Please provide us with as much information regarding your decision to cancel your Tenancy Agreement as possible as this will allow us to make a final decision as quickly as possible. Each case will be treated individually and we may ask you to provide evidence to support any reasons for wanting to cancel your Tenancy Agreement with Cosmopolitan Student Homes. Our standard procedure is that students are not released from their contract until another tenant has been found to fill the room/flat. You will continue to incur rent until another tenant takes over your room/flat and any agreements relating to the payment of rent will stand until such a time. Responsibility to find a replacement tenant does not lie solely with Cosmopolitan Student Homes. Please note, that Cosmopolitan Student Homes will only find a replacement tenant for you once full occupancy has been achieved for the property. If a replacement tenant is found by yourself or Cosmopolitan Student Homes part way through your Tenancy Agreement you will be released from your Tenancy Agreement and, provided you have paid your rent up to date, your Security Deposit will be refunded minus a £50.00 administration fee. Your room/flat will be inspected and any charges issued will be retained from your Security Deposit. If charges issued are in excess of the balance of your deposit, you will be required to pay the additional costs. If no replacement tenant is found, your Security Deposit will be returned at the end of the Tenancy Period, provided you have paid your rent in full. |
